Fees Understandings

  • An initial enrolment is not finalised until the Fees Deposit is paid and the Enrolment Form is signed by all parties (including the school). Prior to starting each year, a non-refundable Fees Deposit is charged to reserve your enrolment place. This Fees Deposit (less an enrolment administration charge of $55) is credited against future fees for the place being secured (or refunded in full if no place is available initially). The Deposit is not refunded if a family fails to take up the enrolment place it secures, nor can it be used to pay overdue fees/charges. School fees must be paid promptly; an enrolment may be cancelled for non-payment of fees.
  • Prior to attending our Preschool or After-School/School Holiday programs, families claiming Child Care Subsidy (CCS) must register with Services Australia/Centrelink online (or ring 8am-8pm Mon-Fri 136 150), and then notify our School Office of your child’s CRN, plus parent name and parent’s CRN under which you will be claiming CCS.
  • Fees Statements are emailed to families, usually at the start/middle/end of each term. There are separate Statements for Preschool, Primary/Secondary School, & BGOSH, as we are required to use different software systems. So, you may receive up to 3 Statements – add the totals of each to calculate the total amount owing. (If the total has a minus symbol (e.g. -$53), you are in credit, so do NOT pay this amount. Wait for your next Statement… & celebrate!)
  • Outdoor Education Camps are an important/essential part of Blue Gum’s education program, so are compulsory for all primary/secondary school students. So that we can cover the costs involved, the Camp charge must be paid for each student (whether they can attend or not).
  • Students must arrive/depart within their booked times, or an Early/Late Fee is payable. NB: Students on the premises after our closing time incur a $60 Late Pick-up Fee. Repeat late-comers will be given an earlier pick-up deadline.
  • A $140 Late Payment Fee may be added to accounts not paid in accordance with a family’s Fees Payment Undertaking, i.e. one lump sum payment by Week 2 each term, or 4 equal instalments in Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8 each term.
  • It is a condition of enrolment that once a family formally enrols your child/ren for a school year, then your family agrees to pay all fees/charges for that booking, up to the end of that year (whether or not your child attends). However, a family may cancel an enrolment, by giving ten (10) weeks’ written notice (fees are still payable during this period). If written notice is not given, each term’s fees are payable.
